Wheat Straw Fiber PE Composite

WYC-PE P179WT020

Wheat Straw Fiber PE combines polyethylene with processed dry wheat stems, creating a pale beige material with visible straw particles and gentle natural color variation. The polyethylene base gives molded parts a less brittle, more yielding feel than rigid PP- or ABS-based fiber compounds, while the straw adds a dry, agricultural texture. Finished surfaces appear warm and lightly speckled rather than uniformly plastic. Suitable applications include flexible household parts, protective covers, storage accessories, caps, pet products and softly contoured molded components.

Usage Guidelines and Processing Notes

Material use

Use this ready-to-process compound directly, or blend it with compatible virgin PE in any proportion to adjust the fiber concentration and molded appearance. Run a molding trial after changing the blend ratio.

Color matching

Color matching is supported. Because the natural base is light, most color families can be developed, although the plant particles remain visible and may shift the final shade. Confirm the target with a molded color sample.

Processing method

Injection molding.

Mold care

Use hardened, corrosion-resistant mold steel. Clean the mold promptly after processing, because plant-fiber composite material left in the tooling can corrode the mold if it is not removed in time.

Important: These settings are starting references only. Adjust them for the machine, mold, part geometry and residence time. Excessive temperature or residence time can scorch or carbonize the plant fiber; begin at the lower end and increase only as needed.
