Coffee Ground Fiber ABS Composite

WYC-ABS PA757520

Coffee Ground Fiber ABS incorporates processed spent coffee grounds into an ABS base, producing a deep brown-gray material with fine dark particles and natural color variation. A mild roasted-coffee character may remain in the material, reinforcing its distinctive sensory identity. The ABS matrix gives molded parts rigidity and crisp form definition, while the coffee content creates a dense, stone-like visual texture. Typical uses include small appliance housings, serving trays, desk accessories, retail display components and decorative interior parts.

Usage Guidelines and Processing Notes

Material use

Use this ready-to-process compound directly, or blend it with compatible virgin ABS in any proportion to adjust the fiber concentration and molded appearance. Run a molding trial after changing the blend ratio.

Color matching

Color matching is supported within a limited range. Because the natural base is dark, select dark color families; pale or bright colors cannot reliably cover the original tone. Confirm the target with a molded color sample.

Processing method

Injection molding.

Mold care

Use hardened, corrosion-resistant mold steel. Clean the mold promptly after processing, because plant-fiber composite material left in the tooling can corrode the mold if it is not removed in time.

Reference Processing Temperatures

StageReference setting
Drying90–100 °C for 5–6 h
Rear zone165–175 °C
Middle zone175–180 °C
Front zone180–195 °C
Nozzle180–195 °C
Mold60–90 °C

Important: These settings are starting references only. Adjust them for the machine, mold, part geometry and residence time. Excessive temperature or residence time can scorch or carbonize the plant fiber; begin at the lower end and increase only as needed.
